Our client, an accountancy practice in Brighton, is excited to announce that they are looking to recruit a new Audit Manager to join their rapidly growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to budgets and deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • Review audit files and financial statements, preparing work for Partner/RI review where required.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members.
  • Manage audit budgets, billing, and assignment profitability.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant accounting standards.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Significant UK accountancy practice experience, including audit management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards, company law, and corporation tax.
  • Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients and leading audit teams.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel; experience with CCH, ProAudit, or similar software is advantageous.
