My client is currently looking to appoint a Senior Banking/Finance Solicitor to join their London office.
About my client:
- With close to 300 partners and over 2000 professionals working in over 15 offices.
- Their London office was established in 2012 and currently has a team of over 40 professionals led by six partners.
- The strategy of my client’s London office is to provide combined legal services in English and Chinese law from a single office in the City.
Main duties will include:
- Advising banks, lenders, fund managers and other corporate and institutional clients (both borrowers and lenders) on all aspects of finance and security issues. Sectors covered will include asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending and borrowing, real estate finance, Government finance and bonds and capital markets.
- Supporting work for the corporate team on funding issues in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions work, as well as work for the commercial and real estate departments on funding issues in M&A work, portfolio property re-finances and more.
- Drafting and preparation of various documents required within the transaction processes.
- Building upon the firm’s reputation to attract key clients.
- Networking with other professionals and contacts, both individually as well as part of a team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A Banking/Finance Solicitor with ideally 3+ years PQE.
- Mandarin or Cantonese speaking/written is desirable, but not essential.
- Unrestricted Practicing Certificate.
- Exceptional client care skills.
