My client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Qualified CILEX Lawyer to join their growing Private Client team in their Manchester based office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of Private Client matters from instruction through to completion.

• Advise clients on

  • Wills
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Probate and Estate Administration
  • Court of Protection matters
  • Draft Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other associated legal documents.
  • Prepare and submit Probate Registry applications.
  • Provide compassionate, professional advice to elderly clients and bereaved families.
  • Attend client appointments at the office, in care homes and at clients' homes where required.
  • Maintain accurate case records using the case management system.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and legal documentation to a high standard.
  • Meet agreed deadlines and maintain excellent file management.
  • Support business development by networking and identifying opportunities to introduce additional legal services to existing clients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Take an active role in your own professional development and continuous learning.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX status.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in Private Client law.
  • Strong experience advising on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act.
  • STEP accreditation (desirable but not essential).
