My client is currently recruiting for an Employment Solicitor to join their top 100 firm on a fully remote basis. We are working with a highly regarded and award‐winning law firm who are looking to strengthen their Employment department with the appointment of an experienced solicitor. The firm has an excellent reputation for providing high‐quality advice across a broad range of practice areas and is well known for its forward‐thinking culture, supportive working environment, and commitment to lawyer well‐being.
This role will suit an experienced Employment Solicitor who is looking for genuine flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work with an outstanding client base while still being part of a collaborative and ambitious team.
The role
You will be joining a busy Employment practice with a strong pipeline of work, focusing on contentious matters, particularly cases involving discrimination, equality, and workplace disputes. Advocacy experience would be a welcome addition, although it is not essential. You will be advising and representing a wide range of clients, from senior executives to commercial businesses in industries such as transport, marketing, technology, and professional services.
Day‐to‐day Responsibilities Will Include
- Advising on a full spectrum of contentious employment issues, with particular focus on discrimination and equality.
- Drafting and responding to tribunal claims, preparing witness statements, and managing disclosure.
- Handling settlement agreements and advising both employers and employees.
- Attending client meetings, case conferences, and, where appropriate, representing clients at tribunal hearings.
- Supporting the team with knowledge sharing, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to wider business development initiatives.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Employment law, gained at a reputable regional or London firm.
- A strong track record of managing contentious employment cases to a high standard.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and explain complex legal issues clearly.
- The confidence to work autonomously while also being a team player.
- A commercial outlook, with enthusiasm for contributing to business development and networking opportunities.
