A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a RTA & Personal Injury Case Handler to join my clients team in their Leeds offices on a hybrid basis.
The Role
As an RTA Case Handler, you will be responsible for managing and proactively progressing your own portfolio of small claims, track and fast track RTA claims, whilst keeping relevant parties updated. You will run the cases from initial instruction stage through to settlement and will review and reply to all correspondence and emails from the client and all parties in the claim. If the claim is not capable of settlement pre issue, you will be required to draft and issue legal proceedings, prepare evidence for hearings and witness statements and comply with all court directions and deadlines. You may also be required to assist other solicitors within the personal injury team with case work tasks, as and when required. Any such work would be under supervision from a solicitor.
Requirements
- Previous OIC and Fast Track RTA claims handling experience within personal injury in a law firm environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the OIC and MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules for Low Value Personal Injury Claims is advantageous.
- Able to engage effectively with clients.
- Happy to work towards targets.
- Highly professional manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
