My client is seeking a Conveyancing Administrator to join their growing conveyancing department in Fetcham, Surrey. This role is integral to the smooth running of residential and/or commercial property transactions, providing high-quality administrative support while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client service throughout the transaction lifecycle.
This opportunity would suit an individual with prior conveyancing or legal administration experience who is looking to further develop their career within a structured and professional environment.
Responsibilities- Open, manage, and close conveyancing files in line with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
- Prepare, draft, and process legal documentation, contracts, and property-related forms
- Act as a point of contact for clients, responding to queries professionally and providing regular progress updates
- Liaise with third parties including solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and local authorities to progress matters efficiently
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system
- Support compliance requirements, including AML checks and adherence to internal policies
- Assist with financial administration such as invoicing, processing payments, and preparing completion statements
- Monitor file progression and produce reports for conveyancers and management when required
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting internal deadlines and client expectations
- Previous experience within a conveyancing or legal administration role is essential
- Good understanding of conveyancing processes and property transactions (residential and/or commercial)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using conveyancing case management systems
- Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach
