This is a senior role managing a portfolio of clients while overseeing the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services. The Role
- You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring the timely delivery of year-end accounts, tax returns, and financial statements, while maintaining strong client relationships and high professional standards.
- You will also play a key role in supervising and developing junior staff and supporting the smooth running of the accounts function.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of accounts and tax work while maintaining profitability.
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving tax computations and returns.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including attending meetings and providing advisory support.
- Allocating and managing workflow across the team to ensure deadlines and resource requirements are met.
- Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Monitoring team performance and supporting ongoing development.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge across the team and clients.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong general practice experience within an accountancy environment.
- Proven ability to manage client portfolios and lead small teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client‑focused approach.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Confident using cloud accounting platforms and modern accounting systems.
