Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join their growing team based in Bournemouth, Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Dorset and Hampshire. The successful candidate will manage a varied litigation caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative environment that genuinely encourages long-term progression and development. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
- Advising clients on a range of dispute resolution matters
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings and court documentation
- Conducting negotiations and exploring settlement opportunities where appropriate
- Managing matters through litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Encouraging repeat business and referrals across the firm
- Meeting time recording and billing targets
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required
- Delivering a high standard of client care and professional service
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance procedures
The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with approximately 3–5 years PQE in litigation
- Strong experience handling a varied civil and commercial litigation caseload
- Ability to manage matters independently from instruction through to completion
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Experience using case management systems advantageous
- Ambitious, self-motivated and keen to progress within a growing firm
