Job Description
My client is a leading European investor providing flexible debt solutions to high-growth technology and life sciences businesses. With over a decade of experience, the firm has supported more than 200 companies across multiple European markets and continues to expand rapidly, adding new portfolio companies every month.
Operating at the intersection of venture capital and structured finance, this firm partners with some of Europe’s most exciting scale-ups , offering founders and CFOs an alternative to traditional equity funding. Due to strong fund performance and continued investor support, they are growing their London-based investment team.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and commercially-minded analyst to join a dynamic investment team in one of Europe’s leading growth debt funds. You will be involved in the full deal lifecycle , from origination and due diligence to execution and portfolio monitoring , with significant exposure to decision-making and senior stakeholders from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Support origination efforts by screening and analysing new investment opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence on high-growth companies (including financial, market, and competitive analysis).
• Assist in structuring, modelling, and documenting transactions.
• Prepare investment committee memos and materials.
• Help manage and monitor existing portfolio companies, including reporting and risk assessment.
• Research emerging technology and life sciences trends across Europe.
• Maintain pipeline data and generate regular deal flow and market reports.
Requirements
• Strong academic track record with a 2:1 or above from a reputable university.
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant finance role (e.g. investment banking, private equity, venture capital, Big 4 corporate finance, or credit-focused lending).
• Excellent financial modelling skills; advanced Excel is a must.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present ideas clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrated interest in high-growth technology and/or life sciences sectors.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• UK work authorization is essential.
