My client is seeking a dynamic, commercially minded qualified Employment Solicitor to join their London office. The role offers 3 days of remote working per week and flex-hours.

The role will entail advising on the full scope of non-contentious and contentious employment law from advising on employment contracts and policies, performance and absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures through to managing restructuring, redundancies and settlement agreements, and advising on TUPE and other corporate issues as they arise. You will also be required to deal with and be familiar with Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation. Attention to detail is paramount and you must be passionate about going the extra mile for your clients. A genuine interest in business development, along with some experience of this would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of Employment matters that will include:
  • Providing employment law advice to education and commercial clients;
  • Drafting advice reports, supporting clients with processes and other documentation such as settlement agreements;
  • Assisting clients with HR processes and procedures;
  • Handling cases through tribunal proceedings;
  • Providing support on employment issues arising in transactions.
  • Provide ongoing technical support on matters for more junior fee-earners.
  • Taking on ad hoc projects as assigned by the Head of Employment.
  • Ensure personal Employment knowledge is kept up to date.
  • Attend monthly fee-earner meetings with the wider Employment team.
  • Attend regular one-to-one meetings with the Head of Employment.
  • Provide supervision of matters for more junior fee-earners, sign off work as and when required.
  • Contribute to business development strategies for the department.
