A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor to join my clients team in their Leeds offices on a hybrid basis. This role would be suited to a newly qualified Solicitor or a Solicitor with 1-2 years PQE.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing and proactively progressing your own portfolio of claims, whilst keeping relevant parties updated. You will run the cases from initial instruction stage through to settlement and will review and reply to all correspondence and emails from the client and all parties in the claim. You will be responsible for ensuring clients are provided with a high level of service and correct legal advice in accordance with our policies and procedures and you will work to achieve personal and department wide targets, whilst adhering to our service level agreements. You’ll take ownership of your own caseload of pre- and post-litigated EL/PL and RTA files, managing claims from inception to settlement. With a strong focus on quality client care and efficient case progression, you’ll play an important role within a highly experienced team.
Requirements:
- NQ to 2-year PQE Solicitor
- Draft legal documents including documents for submission on the OIC and MOJ Portal, witness statements, schedule of loss and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals and third parties
- Conduct legal research and keep up to date with changes in personal injury law and procedure
- Strong experience in managing caseloads independently is desired but not essential if newly qualified applicant
- Solid litigation experience; experience with RTA, EL and PL desirable
- Excellent client care, negotiation, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of the OIC and MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules for Low Value Personal Injury Claims is advantageous
- Highly professional manner
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail
