Our client is seeking a Litigation Executive to join their Bury Office. Your focus will be both commercial and civil litigation cases, ensuring they are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all work is conducted in compliance with SRA standards and regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of legal cases, including drafting legal documents
  • Filing court documents through the court portal (experience is essential)
  • Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with organisational standards
  • Handling clients matters and requests and keeping clients updated from initial enquiry to completion of their matter
  • Instruct experts and counsel
  • Assist in the business development and growth of the department
  • Attend court hearings, meetings, and negotiations as an assistant of the Solicitor with conduct when necessary

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Litigation administrative/Paralegal role essential
  • At least 3 years' experience in debt matters essential
  • Previous experience in an estate agents/landlord/tenant dealing role desirable
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and client care skills; written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  • Experience with case management systems such as Proclaim & Hoowla desirable
  • Having an empathetic nature and displaying a duty of care towards clients, especially those who may be deemed vulnerable
