Looking for an HR role where you’ll do more than just support? Want real client exposure, variety in your day, and the chance to build your advisory confidence - even on a fixed‑term contract? We’re recruiting an HR Advisor to join our Clear Risk Management (CRM) HR team on a 12‑month FTC. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a hands‑on, client‑facing role within a growing, commercial business - and to genuinely develop your HR advisory skills.

About the role

This isn’t a back‑office HR position. You’ll manage your own panel of clients, advising on day‑to‑day HR and employment matters and helping organisations navigate people challenges with confidence. You’ll work alongside experienced HR consultants, giving you support when you need it - but also the space to use your judgement, build relationships and grow. No two clients are the same, and no two days will be either.

As a 12‑month fixed term role, this is ideal if you’re looking to:

  • Build strong HR advisory experience
  • Step into consultancy‑style work
  • Keep developing while in a well‑established team

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing telephone and email HR advice to your own client portfolio
  • Advising across a wide range of generalist HR topics including absence, disciplinaries, grievances, performance, family‑friendly policies, redundancy and TUPE
  • Reviewing and updating contracts, handbooks, policies and letters to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Attending client meetings and site visits, building towards leading these independently
  • Supporting the coordination of HR training sessions and client events
  • Contributing to renewal activity, reporting and commercial processes
  • Helping translate employment law changes into clear, practical guidance for clients

About you

  • Have experience working in an HR environment (in‑house, advisory or HR admin)
  • Have a solid understanding of employment law basics
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and on the phone
  • Are organised, practical and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Enjoy building relationships and solving people problems
  • Are happy to travel to client sites when needed

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards it)
  • Experience in an HR consultancy or advisory setting
  • Exposure to training or event coordination

Why Clear?

Clear is an ambitious, fast‑growing insurance and risk solutions group. We don’t stand still - and we don’t expect our people to either. In CRM, you’ll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team that values:

  • Practical, commercial advice
  • Ownership and accountability
  • Learning and development
  • Treating people properly - clients and colleagues alike

Even on a fixed‑term contract, you’ll be trusted, stretched and given meaningful work - not just “covering the gap”. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
