We need someone who understands talent as a competitive advantage. Clear is building future capability deliberately - balancing scale, change and commercial reality, to create capacity to deliver even better solutions for our clients. That means talent decisions can't be reactive or generic. This role exists to bring market intelligence, analytics and headhunting into how we attract market-leading talent - working directly with our people team and senior leaders while staying close enough to delivery to ensure new recruits succeed.

Your core focus is building an exceptional standard in insurance broking, with group wide visibility and scope. There will be pipelines to build, specific skills gaps to fill and periods of volume hiring. That’s not the downside - it's what gives this role its variety and influence. This environment expects great people skills, judgement, energy and resilience. It gives trust, autonomy and support. If you're looking for comfort or predictability, this isn't it. If you want impact, stretch, and the potential to do your best work - we can certainly promise that.

How you'll work

You'll operate across market, business, and delivery - engaging talent, partnering with senior leaders on hiring needs, and ensuring hiring happens effectively and at pace. You'll use insight and judgement to shape hiring decisions. The role spans specialist insurance hiring (broking and sales) alongside broader group demand, requiring strong prioritisation and the ability to flex between focus areas.

What success looks like

Success here is defined by impact in the market and outcomes in hiring:

  • Strong talent engaged ahead of need
  • Pipelines consistently ahead of demand
  • Hiring managers have clear visibility of the market
  • Quality and consistency of hire continue to improve
  • Decisions are informed by real market understanding
  • Hiring feels controlled, predictable, and proactive rather than reactive

What you'll bring

You'll bring:

  • Experience in talent acquisition, executive search, or in-house recruitment within competitive markets
  • Background in insurance, financial services, or regulated environments (preferred but not essential)
  • Proven capability in proactive sourcing and headhunting passive talent
  • Strong judgement on capability, potential, and cultural fit
  • Ability to turn market insight into practical hiring outcomes
  • Resilience, energy, and pace in high-pressure, competitive environments
  • Commercially minded, proactive approach to talent delivery

The opportunity

This is a fast-paced, high-impact Talent Attraction role where you'll operate with autonomy, stay close to the market, and directly influence hiring outcomes across the business. You'll be trusted to build relationships, move quickly, and consistently turn engagement into high-quality hiring impact. If you thrive in fast-moving markets, enjoy building strong relationships, and are motivated by turning market activity into real hiring outcomes, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
