The Team

Our SME team is a Centre of Excellence within Clear Group. We deliver high‑volume, high‑quality insurance solutions for small and medium-sized businesses across the UK - and we’re trusted to get it right. You’ll be part of a connected team that works closely, shares knowledge and holds high standards. We are happy for this role to be based out of our Leicester / Amersham / Maidstone or Doncaster office and we work on a Hybrid model of 2 office working days.

The Role

This is a 360 client role. You own the relationship. You manage the detail. You make sure everything lands - accurately and on time. The volume is real. So is the responsibility. You’re not working in isolation though - you’re part of a team that works closely and delivers for each other. What matters is consistency - how you manage your clients, your workload and the quality of what you deliver.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll manage a portfolio of SME clients end‑to‑end - owning the relationship and the delivery behind it.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact.
  • Keeping on top of renewals and mid-term adjustments to ensure cover is right and continuous.
  • Handling new business, endorsements and cancellations accurately and on time.
  • Working across insurer platforms to place and manage cover.
  • Staying close to the detail - reviewing documentation and resolving issues quickly.
  • Liaising with insurers to secure terms and navigate more complex cases.
  • Keeping client records accurate, compliant and up to date.
  • Working with the wider team to make sure delivery is consistent.

What You’ll Bring

  • You’ll likely have experience in SME or commercial account handling, or transferable broking experience.
  • A working understanding of SME, package or commercial combined products.
  • Confidence using insurer e-trade platforms and client management systems.
  • A good understanding of FCA requirements and the importance of compliance.
  • The ability to manage volume without losing accuracy.

But just as important is how you work. You’ll take ownership of your clients and your work, stay organised and in control of your workload, communicate clearly with both clients and the wider team and deliver consistently, even when things get busy.

This role will suit someone who’s comfortable working at pace, managing volume and staying close to the detail.
