Our client, a law firm based in Bromley is looking for a technically minded Business Analyst to join its IT team, working closely with the Head of IT and stakeholders across the firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong business analysis skills with a good understanding of software, applications and systems integration. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technology, translating requirements into practical solutions, coordinating system improvements and identifying opportunities to streamline processes through technology and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work with stakeholders, internal IT teams and external suppliers to deliver system enhancements.
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Read and interpret code, understand application logic and support technical problem-solving.
- Coordinate change control, testing, UAT and implementation.
- Support IT projects, supplier management and systems integration.
- Contribute to information security, technology risk and ISO 27001 readiness.
About you
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Strong requirements gathering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of software development, databases, APIs and integrations.
- The ability to read and interpret code and communicate effectively with technical teams.
- Experience coordinating testing, system changes and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of SQL, Git/GitHub, Power BI, cloud applications or AI-assisted development tools would be advantageous. A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.
You don't need to be a hands-on developer, but you must be technically confident and comfortable understanding how applications work.
This is abroad and influential role within a collaborative IT team, with the opportunity to improve business systems, influence technology decisions and contribute to the firm's wider IT strategy.
