Reporting to the Supply Chain Platform Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support, configuration and development across the Supply Chain technology platforms, with the initial focus being on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The business is currently going through a significant Supply Chain transformation, rolling out its WMS across multiple countries, with further deployments planned over the coming years.

You will operate at a Level 3 technical support and development level, working closely with project teams, warehouse users, technical teams, external suppliers and senior business stakeholders.

You will be involved in understanding how the platform is configured and supports the warehouse operation, troubleshooting complex technical issues and supporting configuration, development, integration, testing and go-live activities for new country deployments.

Your initial focus will be on supporting existing live countries before becoming increasingly involved in the wider transformation programme.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience of an enterprise WMS or Supply Chain technology platform.

Experience with Körber / High Jump / Infios would be highly relevant, but is not essential.

We would also consider strong experience with other Tier 1 WMS platforms such as Manhattan or Blue Yonder.

Strong communication skills are important, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences and work collaboratively with project teams, providing constructive challenge where required.

The role will be accountable for

  • Providing Level 3 technical support and expertise across the Supply Chain platform, actively supporting the general change and release management process.
  • Investigating and resolving complex incidents and technical issues, identifying root cause and determining the appropriate solution.
  • Performing system configuration and technical development within the platform.
  • Supporting system integration activities between the WMS and other Supply Chain / business systems.
  • Working with project teams to understand requirements and determine how these can be delivered through the platform.
  • Supporting testing, configuration, cutover and go-live activities for new country deployments.
  • Supporting the transition of new countries into live operation and providing technical support through post-go-live activities.
  • Understanding existing country configurations, business processes and known issues to support future deployments.
  • Assessing the impact of proposed changes and ensuring solutions are aligned to the existing platform and business processes.
  • Providing technical guidance to project teams and working with technical teams, business users and external suppliers to resolve issues and deliver changes.
  • Supporting the wider technical platform team and external support partners where required.
  • Supporting platform performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Experience

  • Solid experience in IT development, configuration or technical support, ideally within a large or international organisation.
  • Good understanding of warehouse and Supply Chain processes from a technology perspective.
  • Technical support and complex incident troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience of system integrations and technical problem solving.
  • SQL experience for troubleshooting, data investigation and reporting. DBA-level experience is not required.
  • Experience working with project teams and external technology partners.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders where required.
  • Label development, Print engine configuration (Bartender), SSRS or Crystal Reports would be advantageous.
