Our client is a global service company within the automotive industry – World experts in their field with a strong foundation in shared values and collaboration.

As part of their ongoing global transformation, this company is looking to strengthen its security team with the addition of an IAM Engineer to helps ensure the continued success and integrity of their initiatives. As their IAM Engineer you will play a key role in supporting across several global and local projects driven by both IAM and business unit objectives. You will deliver complex technical integrations and configurations including tenant migrations, service deployments, and critical privileged access implementations, while ensuring documentation is clear and accurate and will collaborate daily with IAM Analysts, Engineers, and a variety of business and technical stakeholders to help deliver secure, reliable solutions on time.

Responsibilities for IAM Engineer include:

  • Manage large IAM initiatives including but not limited to, changes impacting global user bases, critical security enhancements, integration upgrades, and multi-tenant alignments.
  • Handle, monitor and report complex technical issues across the hybrid on-prem and cloud bases environments by conducting deep technical root cause analysis while sizing effort and timeline for resolution.
  • Design, code, verify, test, document and deploy as required to deliver change.
  • Investigate security anomalies, events, and operational security issues in accordance with established procedures and where required, perform non-standard operational security tasks.
  • Adopt a structured approach to executing and documenting audit fieldwork based on agreed standards while maintaining integrity of records to support and satisfy audit trails.
  • Work under general direction while using discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence colleagues and customers, suppliers and partners.

Skills and Experience required for the role of IAM Engineer include:

  • Proven engineering experience in Identity and Access Management
  • Deep technical use of IAM tools, e.g. Okta, CyberArk
  • Experience in highly complex hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
  • Understanding of wider services integrated with IAM tooling e.g. on-prem AD, Azure, AWS
  • Ability to code/script for IAM related activities and troubleshooting scenarios
  • Strong communication skills and experience in collaborating with stakeholders
  • IAM best practices, JML processes, Identity and RBAC knowledge.
