About the Role
We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working closely with customers, manufacturing, and technical teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from understanding customer requirements through to design, documentation, testing, and project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Produce technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and manuals.
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers and support project delivery.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer demonstrations.
- Work closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain accurate project and engineering documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and business management systems.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent experience).
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as an Applications Engineer, Design Engineer, or Project Engineer.
- AutoCAD experience.
- LV Switchgear experience.
- Experience supporting FATs and producing O&M manuals.
