The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join a growing business in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional to take ownership of contract performance, pricing, reporting, forecasting, and commercial strategy while working closely with senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, improving commercial processes, managing risk, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial operations across contracts, quotations, pricing, and reporting.
  • Drive profitability through effective margin management and cost control.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
  • Review tenders, quotations, and customer requirements to ensure commercially sound proposals.
  • Monitor contract performance, compliance, and revenue recovery.
  • Produce commercial reports and performance analysis for senior management.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop team members while promoting a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial, operational, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or service-led environment.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial/ERP systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
