We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Building Management Systems (BMS) to lead the delivery of projects across commercial and industrial environments. This role is responsible for managing projects from design and planning through to commissioning and handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of BMS projects, including HVAC controls, integration, upgrades, and new installations
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans
- Oversee system design reviews, technical submissions, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and health & safety requirements
- Monitor project progress, manage variations, and report on performance
- Support commissioning, testing, and final handover to the client
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and value engineering
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing BMS / Building Automation projects
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and system integration
- Experience working with common BMS platforms (e.g. Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, or similar)
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and control schematics
- Strong commercial awareness, including cost control and contract management
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) - desirable
- CSCS / SMSTS or equivalent (where applicable)
