We're looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join a specialist service team working on diesel generators and associated electrical control systems across Northern Ireland.
The Role:
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and ancillary equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including control panels to component level
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Interrogate and program ComAp and Deep Sea generator controllers
- Read and interpret electrical drawings
- Support generator control system upgrades and new installations
- Provide initial fault finding remotely and on-site
- Participate in an on-call rota and attend breakdowns when required
- Occasional travel throughout Ireland, including overnight stays
What We're Looking For:
- ONC/D, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Time-served electrical technician/electrician with 3+ years' experience
- Strong industrial electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience with generator controls, ComAp and/or Deep Sea
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Flexible approach to weekend and out-of-hours work
Desirable:
- JIB/SparkSafe or recognised electrical certification
- CSR card / H&S qualification
- Diesel or gas engine experience
- Previous generator service/maintenance experience
