We are seeking an experienced BMS Project Engineer to deliver Building Management System projects within the data centre and mission-critical sector across London. The role will involve managing BMS works from design coordination through commissioning and final handover, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BMS projects on data centre and critical infrastructure sites across London
- Coordinate BMS design, control strategies, and technical documentation
- Manage and support on-site installation teams and specialist subcontractors
- Act as the technical lead for all BMS-related matters on assigned projects
- Oversee commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and client demonstrations
- Ensure effective integration of BMS with HVAC, electrical, UPS, generators, and life-safety systems
- Manage technical queries, variations, and change control
- Ensure compliance with health safety, method statements, and risk assessments
- Support project reporting, programme milestones, and handover documentation
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience as a BMS Project Engineer or similar role
- Background in data centres, mission-critical, or large commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of BMS controls, networks, and architectures
- Experience with leading BMS platforms (Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.)
- Solid understanding of HVAC plant and control strategies
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
