BMS Service Engineer

An established building controls and energy management specialist is looking to recruit a BMS Service Engineer to support customers across a range of commercial building environments.
The company provides building automation and energy management solutions that help customers maintain reliable building operations, improve system performance and reduce energy consumption. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits on BMS installations.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across BMS controllers, software, networks and field devices.
- Maintain and optimise BMS systems to improve reliability, performance and energy efficiency.
- Undertake BMS software modifications, adjustments and system upgrades where required.
- Support customers with technical issues and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Identify opportunities for remedial works, upgrades and additional service requirements.
- Produce accurate service reports and maintain relevant technical documentation.
- Work closely with internal engineering, projects and account management teams.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
Desired Experience
- Previous experience as a BMS Service Engineer or similar building controls engineering role.
- Strong understanding of BMS maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
- Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Distech Controls or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HVAC plant, control strategies, sensors, actuators and field devices.
- Experience carrying out planned maintenance and reactive service work.
- Ability to work independently, manage a workload and communicate effectively with customers.
- A customer-focused approach with strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
