Clear Cut Pictures is a well-established post-production company based in central London. Since 1992, we’ve been delivering high-quality work for the UK and international broadcast industry and we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built along the way.

We’re now looking for an experienced Dubbing Mixer to join our talented, award-winning audio team. We work on a wide range of exciting and high-profile projects, with recent work including Louis Theroux’s The Settlers (BBC One), Tucci in Italy (National Geographic), Hunted and Virgin Islands (Channel 4), Alan and Amanda’s Spanish Job (BBC One), Scandinavia with Simon Reeve (BBC Two), and Reef Builders (Amazon Prime). In addition, we are constantly entrusted to deliver high profile current affairs and long running series. These titles reflect the quality and variety of content we’re proud to be part of.

In this key role, you’ll be final mixing audio for programmes and films destined for public service broadcasters and streamers, helping to shape compelling stories through sound. You’ll work across our facilities and collaborate closely with the audio team, post producers, online editors, and wider support teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Success in this role means combining technical expertise with creative flair, delivering consistently high standards while maintaining a client-focused, solutions-driven approach. Reporting to the Head of Audio, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, precision, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and mix programme audio to meet and exceed both client expectations and technical specifications.
  • Tracklay sound elements accurately and with sensitivity to the content.
  • Design creative and empathetic soundscapes that enhance storytelling.
  • Create deliverables to strict technical standards and naming conventions.
  • Record, edit, and clean voice-over to a professional broadcast standard.
  • Set up and manage remote recording sessions using tools like Source Connect/Nexus, Zoom, etc.
  • Produce detailed recording reports and music cue sheets (EDLs) as required.
  • Organise and maintain structured folder systems across local and server-based storage.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Contribute proactively to the efficient use of studio resources and continuous improvement of workflows.
  • Lead and manage sessions, to meet and exceed client expectations, preparing the work needed and liaising effectively with the wider post-production team.

Qualifications

  • Extensive portfolio of Broadcast credits, preferably within Factual Entertainment.
  • Proven proficiency using ProTools in a professional post-production audio environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to mix audio for broadcast to high technical and creative standards.
  • Strong understanding of post-production audio workflows, technical specifications, and deliverables.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.
  • Experience to offer a creative and empathetic approach to sound design and storytelling.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage time and resources effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A collaborative, flexible attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for sound.
  • Able to work at any of our London offices.
  • Established right to work in the UK.
