LOCATION: Clear Creek Amana Middle School (Tiffin, IA)
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee
JOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 6th Grade Science during teacher's absence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills.
- Follow behaviour management plans for students.
- Assist and collaborate with the administration, school counsellor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioural goals.
- Maintain appropriate records and protect the confidentiality of data.
- Report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate.
- Experience in classroom teaching PreK-12th grade preferred.
- Initiative to be a self-starter.
- Intuitive to the needs of students.
- Flexibility in assignment given.
- Ability to use good judgement.
