We’re seeking a proactive, customer-focused Commercial Account Handler with experience in commercial insurance to join our expanding Customer Service team. In this role, you’ll act as the first point of contact for clients, assisting with their insurance needs while providing a friendly, clear, and efficient service across fleet and commercial policies. You’ll also be responsible for processing mid-term adjustments for our fleet and commercial insurance customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer enquiries via phone, email, and SMS
- Provide support on fleet insurance and commercial policies, including mid-term adjustments, renewals, and general queries
- Deliver clear, jargon-free explanations of insurance products and cover options
- Assist customers with claims processes and liaise with insurers where required
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through excellent service
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems and ensure compliance with FCA regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and retention
- Work collaboratively with sales and underwriting teams
Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous experience in motor insurance (car, van, or fleet) – essential
- Experience in a customer service, commercial insurance or contact centre environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Excellent attention to detail, quality and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
Desirable:
- Experience within a commercial insurance brokerage
- Knowledge of fleet, courier, or business insurance products
- Cert CII (or working towards)
