PDI Motor Vehicle Technician in Peterborough. Permanent Positions - Choose Your Shift!
Salary:
- £33,600 - Days (£35,600 with an MOT Licence)
- £36,960 - Afternoons (£38,960 with an MOT Licence)
40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday:
- Days: 6am - 2.30pm
- Lates: 3pm - 1am Mon - Thursday, 3pm - 7pm Fridays
Heated workshop and onsite parking. Uniform provided. An MOT tester licence will add £2,000 onto your salary.
We are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanics / Vehicle Inspectors / PDI Vehicle Technicians to join a large, state-of-the-art heated workshop in Peterborough. This role is with a well-established automotive logistics business operating numerous major vehicle preparation sites across the UK.
To be successful in this position, you will need previous experience as a PDI Technician or Service Technician. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
The Job:
- Carrying out routine general inspection and servicing and mechanical repairs on cars no older than 5 years old.
- Following PDI Process and Procedures in line with company standard.
- Carry out all tasks in line with your skills and the business requirements, to the highest quality standards at all times.
- Complete the final quality check on all vehicles, then off the car goes to have a fresh MOT licence.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
The candidate should be confident using all the necessary tools and materials, have experience with or be happy with working in a high-volume modern body shop. If you have a background working for the RAC or the AA as a Vehicle Inspector, then this would be a great fit for your experience.
Job Experience:
- A background within PDI or mechanical vehicle repairs is essential.
- City & Guilds OR NVQ level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and repair.
- Experience of working in vehicle repairs.
- MOT Tester licence would be an advantage but not essential.
