MET Technician – Brand New Bodyshop
Location: Northwest London NW10
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 base
Our client focuses on quality repairs and seeks an experienced MET Technician to join a leading accident repair team. The role requires proficiency in panel repairs for accident damaged vehicles and a commitment to high standards.
Responsibilities
- Remove and refit mechanical and electrical trims, panels and components on vehicles.
- Carry out stripping and rebuilding work in a professional manner and perform final quality checks in line with applicable standards.
- Dismantle vehicles in preparation for the panel area.
- Inspect, fault find and diagnose vehicle issues.
- Order replacement parts as needed.
- Re‑assemble vehicles with new parts to restore pre‑accident condition.
- Strip and fit components, bodywork and trim elements.
- Complete all MET duties within your remit.
- Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre‑accident condition.
- Ensure jobs are completed within estimated times.
Qualifications
- ATA MET Technician, Mechanic or Strip Fitter.
- Experience in panel repairs to accident damaged vehicles.
- ATA, NVQ2/3 or IMI2/3 qualifications are a distinct advantage.
