Start your day from home in Bristol with a salary of £37,740 OTE £50,000. This is a permanent position working 4 days a week (40 hours total) with flexible shifts between 7am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday.

This is a mobile, call-out role with a fully equipped company van provided and uniform included, ready to go from day one. You will receive 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, and optional overtime is available. The employer offers a premium pension contribution of 14%.

We are recruiting a skilled mechanic for this permanent opportunity. If you’re a hands-on, experienced technician with broad mechanical knowledge on many makes and manufacturers, and enjoy working on the road, this could be the perfect role for you. You will be contracted to work 40 hours over four days a week, with operating hours between 7am and 8pm Monday to Sunday, covering one fourth of the weekend days, with the opportunity to do overtime if you choose.

Anyone with a solid practical mechanic or vehicle technician background would be suitable for this position, as long as you can diagnose and fix mechanical issues with all brands of cars. You will be based at home, set up with everything you need plus a company vehicle. Once you receive a call from the breakdown provider, you will visit the customer’s roadside location to diagnose the problem.

Ideally, you will live in or around Yeovil, Bristol, Frome, or Bath or surrounding areas, as this will be the corridor you cover.

The Job: You will assist customers experiencing vehicle issues such as running out of fuel, tyre repair/change, or battery replacement, and provide a full kit to help them get back on the move. You will diagnose the problem and determine the required repairs, giving customers confidence to continue their journey without further interruptions. Ensure all jobs are completed with excellent customer service and empathy. Confirm parts are ordered as per estimate; return unused parts to the parts department for credit. Maintain awareness of and adhere to all necessary standards and H&S procedures.

Ideally, you will hold a Level 2 minimum certification in light vehicle maintenance and repair or mechanics.
