Permanent positions – Salary: £33,600 - Days (£35,600 with an MOT Licence) / £36,960 - Afternoons (£38,960 with an MOT Licence). 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday: Days 6 am – 2.30 pm, Lates 00 pm – 1 am (Mon – Thu), 3 pm – 7 pm (Fri). Heated workshop, onsite parking, uniform provided. MOT tester licence adds £2,000 to salary.
Overview
We are recruiting experienced Mechanics / Vehicle Inspectors / PDI Vehicle Technicians for a state‑of‑the‑art heated workshop in Peterborough.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine general inspection and servicing and mechanical repairs on cars no older than 5 years.
- Follow PDI Process and Procedures in line with company standard.
- Complete the final quality check on all vehicles before they go for a fresh MOT licence.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Use necessary tools and materials confidently in a high‑volume modern body shop.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a PDI Technician or Service Technician.
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Experience working in vehicle repairs.
- Background working for RAC or AA as a Vehicle Inspector is desirable.
- MOT Tester licence is an advantage but not essential.
