Are you an experienced MET Technician looking to work in a modern, high-end accident repair centre with the latest equipment and genuine career progression? Clear Automotive is recruiting for a skilled MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician to join a prestigious bodyshop in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an immaculate repair facility where quality comes first and technicians are given 100% of the allocated repair time on every job card - no time deductions.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for dismantling, repairing and reassembling vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
  • Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair
  • Reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition using manufacturer repair methods
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections, fault finding and diagnostics
  • Fitting new parts and ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards
  • Performing road tests where required
  • Completing repairs within estimated timescales
  • Checking parts availability before repairs commence and returning unused parts where appropriate
  • Following all health & safety procedures and quality standards
  • Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Bodyshop Mechanic
  • Experience working within a busy accident repair centre or bodyshop
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused workmanship
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high repair standards
  • ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
