Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA – Swindon

Permanent role, Monday‑Friday. Competitive salary up to £45,000 OTE (potentially £53,000 based on experience). 30 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays). Realistic monthly bonus up to £1,000. Academy, IMI and ATA training available.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles, assessing damage extent, repair costs and timescales.
• Identify the correct prescribed repair method, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Prepare computerised and manual estimates, keeping up‑to‑date records of all work.
• Liaise with insurance companies to gain repair authorisations and confirm repair costs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers and technicians to ensure correct repair methodology is followed.
• Ensure all amendments to repairs are authorised by insurers.
• Work closely with bodyshop staff to ensure prescribed repair methods are carried out correctly.

About You

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator.
• Audatex experience is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, professional accident repair environment.
