Bodyshop Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £60,000 OTE (£80,000+)
Car allowance: £500/month.
Employment: Permanent, Monday to Friday.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager / General Manager to oversee daily operations of a successful BSI‑approved repair site.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the on‑site team of experts – Paint Sprayers, Panel Beaters, MET Technicians, Estimators and all administrative staff.
- Manage entire site operations, including Health and Safety, Performance Management, Financials, and Customer Service; set and monitor targets.
- Recruit, train and manage staff to achieve key performance indicators with senior management.
- Ensure Key‑to‑Key and CSI targets are met or exceeded.
- Provide strong leadership to direct reports and all site employees to drive performance and exceed financial and operational targets.
- Analyse business needs, accounts, reports and KPIs.
- Optimise site resources and costs to enhance capability and profitability.
- Monitor individual productivity to minimise non‑productive time.
- Maintain positive working relationships with key personnel.
- Facilitate daily production meetings with team leaders, parts and reception staff to meet work completion targets.
- Manage work provider and supplier relationships efficiently.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of the repair and claims processes.
- Natural leader with excellent people management skills.
- High level of business acumen.
- Results‑driven attitude.
- Previous site management experience within the accident repair industry (IND123).
- Familiarity with Autoflow BMS and Audatex estimating system preferred.
