We are currently looking for an experienced Manager or Vehicle Technician who wants to step into management for a well-known Automotive Service business.
The Job: Assistant Centre Manager / Mechanic
As an Automotive Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside the Centre Manager, to provide productive management and leadership, driving profitability, with firm focus on the customer's journey.
- Ideally you will have had previous hands-on experience as a mechanic as you will be dividing your time between the workshop, working alongside the technicians, and assisting the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service
- Supporting the current centre manager in the day to day running of the garage
- Also assisting in vehicle repairs when very busy or if technicians need assistance
- Communication with customers
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment
- Team player willing to assist in other workshop duties as and when required
Job Experience: Assistant Manager - Vehicle Service & Repair
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
- Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points
- Experience / Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and experience through effective management
- Experience / Ability to deliver coaching/training in moment to colleagues
- Technical/Mechanical ability or experience
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
- IT Proficient, with the willingness to learn in-house systems
