Clear Audio Visual Ltd is a small high-performance audiovisual installations company. We specialise in installing meeting rooms, collaborative spaces, and full workplace AV integrations.

We are seeking freelance Junior/Mid-Level AV Installation Engineers to add to our freelance contractor database for short and long term jobs in and around London, often on construction sites. This is a hands-on role and you will be working on various sites where you will be responsible for the installation of audiovisual systems. You will assist with configuration, calibration, troubleshooting, and ensuring all AV setups meet quality and performance standards. The role involves working with other installation engineers as a team and closely with the site manager, following project specifications.

We are looking for:

  • Proficiency in audiovisual system installation, wiring, cabling and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of audio systems, video conferencing systems, and collaboration technologies
  • Ability to deliver high-quality AV installations
  • Works well with other engineers and site manager
  • Work from drawings / scope of works
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and system design specifications
  • Experience in maintaining and supporting installed AV systems
  • An understanding of health and safety standards related to AV installations
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work well under deadlines
  • Communicate progress and issues clearly to the site manager
  • Relevant industry certifications and training (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, or manufacturer-specific certifications, IPAF/PASMA are an advantage)
  • Represent Clear AV professionally whilst on site
  • Must have a valid ECS card or CSCS
  • Reliable and punctual
  • HMRC Self-employed status
  • Right to work in the UK

This role is paid on a day-rate basis, with expenses included in the agreed rate. Ongoing opportunities for the right people.
