Location: UK Wide (with flexible hybrid working & remote for the right person)

Salary: Senior £35,000 - £45,000; Principal £45,000 - £55,000 negotiable

Coordinate and manage EIA in a range of sectors such as energy, water and transport. This is a national SME company focused on protecting the environment, offering multi-disciplinary projects and seeking to grow their EIA team across the country.

Support clients across the whole project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and optioneering, through assessment and consenting, construction/implementation, operation and ultimately decommissioning.

The Role:

  • Work closely with technical discipline teams to deliver a diverse array of projects in Energy, Water & Transport.
  • Ensure projects comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential environmental risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
  • Manage, co-ordinate and lead to deliver high quality assessments to time and budget.
  • Be client facing across the project lifecycle, leading as Project Manager.
  • Deal with sub-contractors such as noise, flood, ecology, etc.
  • Collaborate & communicate to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Future opportunities to contribute to business development, mentoring & guidance to junior team members.

Essential Attributes:

  • Enthusiastic, positive, diplomatic and articulate.
  • Bachelors or Masters in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership of a relevant institution.
  • Principal - 7+ years consultancy experience; Senior - 3+ years consultancy experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering EIAs on medium to large projects for a range of clients.
  • Excellent project management experience and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experienced in tender preparation and bid writing.

Desirable:

  • Water, Energy (renewables solar, wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems) or Transport industry experience.
  • Experience across different planning regimes (TCPA, DCO, Highways Act etc).
