Senior Environmental Advisor Construction – Renewable Energy Location: East Scotland – Central Belt / Peterhead (flexible site requirements depending on your location) Consultant – £30,000-£40,000 Senior – £40,000-£50,000 Principal – £50,000 – £60,000 Are you looking for a flexible and supportive Environmental Advisor opportunity within a people- focused and innovative consultancy providing excellence to the renewable energy sector and beyond? CleanTech Talent are acting as an employment agency for our client who are one of the most promising specialist consultancies in Scotland offering profit share and operating on one of the most meaningful projects in the energy transition. You will receive guidance and technical support with specific training and mentoring combined with work ownership on site coupled with a generous salary and benefits package. The Role Environmental Advisor – Construction Project management and onsite construction phase support Support clients in the post planning consent and construction phases Influence design, develop and review environmental management project documents Provide site based environmental management, advisory services & site based environmental assurance support. Weekly site visits required Key Attributes Required UK driving licence 3 years onsite construction environmental advisory experience Working to project deliverables and managing workload A relevant degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid time management and record keeping. Working knowledge of environmental and ecological constraints during construction, along with appropriate mitigation measures An understanding of current environmental legislation, policy trends, guidance and regulatory frameworks Desirable Attributes Experience working with contractors to deliver advice and mitigation on site to ensure client commitments are met Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors and regulators; An understanding of current environmental legislation, policy trends and guidance An understanding of relevant regulatory framework e.g. CAR, SuDS, EIA, flood risk; A good understanding of standard guidance for pollution prevention; Demonstrable problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions; A current CSCS card (can be supplied for new applicants) Membership of the Association of Environmental Clerks of Works (AECoW).
