We’re seeking a practical, curious and hands-on Senior Network Engineer to design, build and support IP-based communication systems spanning multiple regions, ground infrastructure and remote platforms. You’ll work across Linux networking, routing, monitoring, protocol development and systems integration.
You’ll help create the upper-layer communication logic, enhance observability, optimise performance, and collaborate closely with lower-layer and platform engineers.
- Design, configure and maintain a distributed IP-based network across multiple regions and systems (Linux-based)
- Oversee routing, VPNs, dynamic networking, observability, DNS, QoS and security
- Build monitoring tools for routing behaviour, packet metrics, throughput, latency and traffic flows
- Drive continuous improvement across performance, testing, debugging and system understanding
5+ years designing and implementing communication networks
Strong understanding of IP networking (TCP/UDP), tunnelling and secure data handling
Solid grounding in network/transport protocols
Hybrid: ~3 days onsite (Scotland)
