Our client, a respected, long-standing environmental consultancy with decades of delivery across renewables, infrastructure and nature-based projects, has chosen us as their exclusive hiring partner to find their next Senior Ecologist.

  • What you'll actually be doing
  • Lead and manage ecological projects from inception through to completion, across diverse projects
  • Deliver high-quality ecological reports & mitigation design that shape outcomes for clients and communities
  • Provide technical leadership and expert ecological advice across a range of projects and sectors.
  • Take ownership of small–medium projects & play a key role in major schemes across Scotland
  • Influence stakeholders, regulators, contractors & partners to deliver better environmental results
  • Mentor junior colleagues & grow your own leadership profile
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement across ecological service delivery.
  • We're looking for
  • Relevant degree + proven consultancy experience
  • Solid knowledge of UK ecology legislation & survey techniques (bats / mammals / GCN / botany all welcome)
  • Experience with HRA, Ec IA, EIA chapters
  • Client-facing confidence + clear, persuasive report writing
  • Desire to step into a role where your expertise is listened to
