The Role - Senior Project Manager, Americas
You will be responsible for delivering projects and commercial services related to power system monitoring and operations, playing a critical role in our client's expansion in the US. Acting as the key interface between customers, our client's delivery teams, and project stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and deliver maximum value to clients. This role reports functionally to our client's Global Head of Projects and offers considerable scope for career growth as our client continues to scale in the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technical sales activities, including project scoping, costing, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- Manage the delivery of complex integration projects across multidisciplinary international teams (power systems, R&D, and operations).
- Work closely with customers and strategic partners to oversee multi-party projects.
- Align market delivery strategy with our client's HQ, providing customer feedback.
- Develop project methodologies, schedules, risk registers, and budget forecasts.
- Deliver cloud software solutions, hardware, and infrastructure to energy industry clients worldwide.
- Implement clear and effective project governance, including risk, finance, and progress reporting.
- Manage external suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure adherence to our client's principles on Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- 7+ years of project management experience, ideally within Grid, Utility, Telecoms, or Energy Services.
- Ability to manage distributed research, software development, and operations teams.
- Strong commercial, technical, and organizational acumen.
- Experience in delivering complex field deployments and/or EPC contracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in managing third-party contractors and external suppliers.
- Experience in smart grid technologies within TSO/DSO environments.
- Knowledge of energy storage projects, battery control, or battery management systems.
- Strong experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
