The Role – Environmental Consultant / EIA Project Manager
As a result of a growing and diverse pipeline of projects, our key client requires an EIA Project Manager to join their growing Environmental Assessment team.
As a Project Manager you will play a key role in supporting clients across a range of industries through the management of planning applications, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other environmental assessments, across a variety of industry critical projects.

Responsibilities
- The motivation to develop professionally with support by the business
- Technical assessments including desktop assessments
- Surveys and site visits as required.
- Manage the delivery of large and small projects including client and subcontractor management, project budgets, programme and invoicing.
- Identification and management of project risks with the support of senior staff.
- Prepare tenders including obtaining quotes from subcontractors and drafting of fee proposals for approval by senior staff.
- Preparation and review of written technical reports
- Business Development
- Identify future project opportunities
- Client management and liaison and attendance at industry events
- Assisting with internal management and business processes including the tracking of business opportunities and team finances
- Mentoring opportunity available
Essential Attributes:
- 3 or more years’ experience within an environmental consultancy
- Solid project management skills
- Thrive in a consultancy environment
- The ability to work collaboratively with multifunctional team both internally and externally.
- Report writing skills and attention to detail.
- An understanding of the planning and environmental assessment legislations across the UK.
- Experience of identifying clients and undertaking business development activities would be an advantage.
- Experience of line management and mentoring of junior staff.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
