  • The Role – Associate Director - Ecologist:

    • As an Associate Director, you will collaborate with technical specialists, mentor junior team members, and engage with clients to provide expert advice.
    • Lead a team of excellent ecologists from graduate to senior level in Manchester
    • Collaborate with the Sheffield ecology team on projects across the north of the UK
    • Own the financials within the Manchester ecology team
    • Lead and deliver ecological surveys, including protected species and habitat assessments at sign off stage.
    • Manage ecological projects from inception to completion
    • Support and mentor junior ecologists, fostering growth and sharing your expertise.
    • Contribute to business development by building relationships with clients and identifying new opportunities.
    • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to deliver nature-based solutions that leave a lasting impact.

    You will be an experienced ecology leader with a solid understanding of UK environmental legislation, habitat assessments, and protected species surveys.

    Experience required:

    • Degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
    • Experience leading a team of ecologists
    • Experience in managing projects
    • Mentoring and training team members
    • Previous involvement in the financial and commercial elements of projects
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build solid client relationships.
    • A proactive attitude with a passion for promoting sustainable solutions.
    • UK Driving Licence
