Director of Ecology – UK South £60-70k Permanent, full time
Our key client is seeking a senior ecology leader to join their team in England. This role offers flexibility to appoint at either Technical Director or Associate Director level, depending on experience. You will inherit an established function with growth plans, support major projects, and play a key role in driving innovation and expanding commercial impact.
- Drive delivery of large-scale projects—especially onshore wind and grid infrastructure—from feasibility through construction.
- Expand the consultancy’s commercial reach by attracting new clients and workstreams (renewables and beyond).
- Enhance the business profile through thought leadership, technical innovation, and industry engagement.
- Manage budgets, support business development, and contribute to the senior leadership team.
Significant experience in ecology, ideally with a client-facing and commercial focus. Track record of delivering or leading large-scale projects. Leadership qualities: supportive, empowering, and able to grow others. Open to candidates from a range of technical and sector backgrounds - grow a business unit!
