Utilities Ground worker in Glasgow

Overview

Cleantech Civils is looking for a skilled Utilities Groundworker to join our team on an ongoing framework project across Scotland’s central belt. This current role is in Glasgow and is ideal for someone with strong experience in utility works and a commitment to safe, high-quality delivery on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of groundworks, including excavation, ducting, backfilling, reinstatement, and general site duties.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility infrastructure.
• Work closely with site supervisors and engineers to ensure tasks are completed safely and to specification.
• Operate plant and equipment (where tickets allow) in line with health and safety standards.
• Support the smooth running of day-to-day site operations and contribute to a positive, efficient working environment.
• Follow site safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in utilities or civil engineering groundworks.
• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• Driver\’s Licence (essential).
• Additional tickets such as CAT & Genny, Dumper, Roller, or Street Works are advantageous.
• Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions effectively.
• Reliable, hardworking, and capable of working outdoors in all conditions.
• Working with Scottish Water is an advantage.
