About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team.
This is a varied role involving the collection and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
The successful candidate will primarily undertake Class 1 driving duties but will also be required to provide cover for Class 2 work as operational needs require.
Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider transport team are essential.

- Key Accountabilities
- Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class 1 vehicles.
- Provide Class 2 driving cover when required to support operational demands.
- Operate vehicles safely and in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Load, unload and handle waste materials, including lifting drums (up to 25kg) and moving pallets using a pump truck.
- Deliver excellent customer service when attending customer sites.
- Complete all required transport documentation accurately.
- Work closely with the transport depot to ensure efficient service delivery.
- The Candidate
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Current Driver CPC qualification and Digi-card.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Willingness to undertake both Class 1 and Class 2 work when required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to complete transport paperwork accurately.
- Flexible and dependable approach to work.
- ADR licence desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
- Waste industry experience advantageous but not essential.
