Job Summary
We are recruiting a Venue Presentation Manager to join our growing business within the facilities services sector.
This role is based within our CleanKitchen Division, supporting Levy UK hospitality operations at The O2, London. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced manager with a passion for delivering exceptional cleaning and presentation standards within a high-profile hospitality environment.
Reporting to the National Manager - Specialist Services, the role is responsible for planning, scheduling and managing all aspects of the cleaning and presentation services contract. The successful candidate will ensure the profitable delivery of the contract, maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead and motivate operational teams and ensure consistently high standards of service delivery.
The role combines operational leadership with contract administration responsibilities and will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends and event days as required by the business.
Please note: This role sits within the CleanKitchen Division supporting Levy UK hospitality operations at The O2 and is not connected to the wider O2 Arena venue contract.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Take accountability for the overall operational and financial performance of the contract.
- Undertake regular operational reviews and continuously improve service delivery.
- Develop detailed operational forecasts and plans that provide the most cost-effective and efficient cleaning and presentation solutions.
- Ensure all contractual obligations and service standards are consistently achieved.
- Assist at other venues and events across the company portfolio as required.
- Oversee hospitality cleaning and presentation operations across all designated areas.
- Ensure all contract administration, reporting and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Levy UK representatives and key stakeholders.
- Establish regular client meetings and maintain positive communication channels.
- Provide proactive problem-solving and escalation management where required.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the contract scope, client expectations and operational requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Head Office and operational teams to deliver exceptional service standards.
- Promote and uphold CleanEvent’s values and operational standards across the contract.
Contract & Venue Presentation Management
- Ensure an up-to-date Contract Management Plan is in place and adhered to at all times.
- Ensure all quality assurance documentation and reporting requirements are completed and maintained.
- Utilise CleanEvent systems to plan labour, record actuals and analyse performance.
- Monitor service delivery through inspections, audits and performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the contract.
- Ensure hospitality cleaning and presentation standards consistently meet or exceed client expectations.
Logistics Management
- Ensure adequate provision of cleaning supplies, consumables and materials required for service delivery.
- Ensure all supplies and consumables are safely stored, organised and controlled.
- Maintain contract equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Ensure registers are maintained for chemicals, equipment, vehicles, uniforms and other company assets.
- Conduct regular stocktakes of equipment, consumables and uniforms.
- Ensure all assets are managed in accordance with company procedures.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Undertake regular health and safety audits.
- Ensure all safety, accident reporting and compliance requirements are adhered to.
- Establish and maintain safe systems of work and appropriate risk assessments.
- Ensure all Safe Working Method Statements (SWMS) are updated and maintained.
- Ensure all hospitality cleaning and presentation activities comply with statutory and contractual requirements.
- Complete timely incident reporting and investigations through Atlas.
- Ensure hazard reporting processes are actively followed.
- Maintain up-to-date COSHH documentation for all chemicals used on site.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the operation.
Staff Management
- Recruit employees in line with CleanEvent policies and procedures.
- Support succession planning and internal development opportunities.
- Ensure all new starters complete the company induction programme.
- Address conduct, capability and attendance matters promptly and appropriately.
- Lead, motivate and manage staff in accordance with the CleanEvent Code of Conduct.
- Identify training and development requirements within the team.
- Conduct annual performance and development reviews.
- Ensure all employees are presented professionally and comply with company uniform standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive working environment.
Managing Profitability
- Manage all activities within agreed labour budgets and contracted hours.
- Take responsibility for the overall financial performance of the contract.
- Assist with the preparation of annual operational and capital budgets.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and undertake variance analysis.
- Implement corrective action where required to achieve financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service quality.
- Support the identification of opportunities for contract growth and additional service provision.
Management Reporting
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Operations Manager regarding operational performance and significant issues.
- Maintain regular communication with client representatives and operational stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit internal and client-facing monthly management reports.
- Ensure all staffing, labour and compliance data is accurately maintained within Humanforce.
- Monitor workforce compliance to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Provide performance analysis and operational insights to support continual improvement.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Experience within cleaning management, facilities management, hospitality operations or a related service-led environment.
- Strong client relationship management experience.
- Excellent organisational and resource planning skills.
- Proven leadership and people management capability.
- Strong financial management, reporting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
Desirable
- Experience managing services within hospitality, entertainment, leisure or event venues.
- Relevant professional qualification or tertiary qualification.
- Experience managing large-scale operational teams.
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
