We are recruiting a Venue Presentation Manager. This is an opportunity to join an established company working within the facility services sector. The role is based at the Chester Racecourse and is a great opportunity for an ambitious senior manager with a keen interest in the sporting and event industry. Reporting to a Regional Operations Manager, this role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing all aspects of the venue and for the profitable management of CleanEvent's Cleaning and Venue Services contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an excellent working relationship with venue representatives through regular meetings and detailed operational forecasts that provide the most cost‑effective cleaning solutions.
  • Oversee the administration of the contract, ensuring all paperwork, reporting, Human Force compliance, cost submissions and incident reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide direction and manage all activities undertaken in the venue in line with CleanEvent's mission and values, including knowledge of the venue's cleaning scope and additional services.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date Venue Management Plan and all required QA documentation and reporting.
  • Utilize CleanEvent systems for planning, recording actuals, analysing performance and maintaining an operational database.
  • Logistics management: ensure adequate provision, storage, requisition, maintenance and safety of cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment and vehicles.
  • Risk management and compliance: perform safety audits, maintain SWMS, ensure statutory safety requirements and complete incidents and hazard reporting in Atlas.
  • Staff management: recruit, induct, motivate, coach and conduct performance reviews in line with CleanEvent policies, ensuring uniform standards and Code of Conduct compliance.
  • Financial stewardship: prepare annual operational and capital budgets, report actual performance, undertake variance analysis, and drive corrective actions to achieve overall profitability.
  • Regularly communicate with the Regional Operations Manager and venue management staff to keep them fully informed of significant operating issues and coordinate activities across groups.
  • Prepare and submit monthly venue management reports internally and for the client, ensuring compliance with Human Force for payroll accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the venue's presentation through process optimisation, equipment utilisation and staff productivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cleaning management, trade or facilities management role.
  • Expertise in business development within a facility services context.
  • Excellent client service, organisational and resource management skills.
  • Strong leadership, motivation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT applications.
  • Financial management, reporting and analysis skills.
  • Understanding of HR, equal opportunity, health, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Ability to work substantial weekends and evenings as required.
