Role Overview:
The Venue Operations Lead (VOL) is a developmental leadership role combining structured progression at a major venue with full operational accountability for a matchday contract. Based primarily at Silverstone, the VOL will support operational planning and delivery across race events, hospitality activity and high-footfall venue operations. In parallel, the VOL will take full responsibility for planning and delivering matchday presentation services at Coventry, reporting directly to the Regional Manager. This is a hands-on operational leadership role requiring event-day presence, live decision-making and ownership of service standards. The role forms part of CleanEvent’s succession planning pathway toward Assistant Venue Presentation Manager and Venue Presentation Manager positions.
1. Silverstone – Operational Development & Delivery:
- Support labour forecasting and workforce deployment modelling
- Assist with recruitment coordination and rostering
- Contribute to event mobilisation planning and documentation
- Attend client and venue planning meetings
- Support supervisor leadership and briefing preparation
- Be operationally present during race events and key activity days
- Monitor presentation standards and escalate issues appropriately
- Take ownership of defined operational workstreams as capability develops
Silverstone acts as the structured development environment for progression into senior venue leadership roles.
2. Coventry – Contract Operational Lead:
- Labour forecasting, deployment planning and cost awareness
- Recruitment coordination where required
- Supervisor leadership and briefing
- Matchday operational delivery and live decision-making
- Health & Safety compliance
- Quality control and service standards
- Post-event reporting and performance analysis
Accountability for matchday delivery at Coventry sits with the role holder.
3. Major Events Deployment:
- Equipment coordination and logistics
- Labour mobilisation support
- Documentation and compliance alignment
- On-site operational leadership support
- Exposure to multi-site event delivery environments
Irregular hours and national travel will be required during peak periods.
Development & Progression:
This role forms part of CleanEvent’s operational leadership pathway. The successful candidate will gain structured exposure to:
