Following internal promotion, our fabulous team in Slough are looking for an Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
Shift Pattern: 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off "Always includes a weekend" 4 on, 5 off, rota which will include days, nights and weekends - 5:45am-6pm and 5:45pm-6.00 a. m.
- Ensuring effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC System);
- Carrying out repairs when required in a timely and efficient manner with limited disruption to operational running;
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed;
- Working effectively alone as well as part of a small team of engineers onsite.
What do I need to apply?
We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and/or have completed an apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/control skills) with an electrical bias.
In terms of work background, we are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast paced/volume manufacturing or production-type environment - if you have worked in a commercial laundry setting, that would be amazing!
In addition, you will need to be able to read and understand electrical/engineering drawings, possess strong IT skills, be able to work well as part of a team, have a can-do attitude and have a good level of written and spoken English.
You will require proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
